As Penn State students cheered, alumni and administrators hung their heads. Penn State University was deemed the number one party school in the U.S., and although for students this might be seen as a compliment, for Penn State admins and alums it’s a PR nightmare. Penn State should be known for their academics, not their beer bongs, keg stands, and all night ragers. This might entice prospective students, but for their parents footing the bill, sending their children to the number one party school isn’t appealing. Our suggestion to admins? Start promoting the high GPA’s and high SAT scores it takes to get into Penn State. Penn State might be known for partying, but we all know it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to succeed here. Now it’s time to show the rest of the country.
