Summer- to most people this word evokes images of beaches, sun, and freedom.  And I certainly hope mine will be filled with all of these things. However, mine will be missing one thing that a lot of my PR peers have in the bag: a summer internship. With plans to intern into fall semester of next year, I have one goal in mind for the summer: mixed in with the beaches, and fun, and lots of sunlight, I will be working working working. Summer jobs have been a staple for me since I was a counselor-in-training at a Philly day camp when I was 12. I find that getting a summer job isn’t just a great resume booster as far as experience goes, but it is extremely lucrative in helping you out for next year’s college fund.  I’m planning on saving the internship until the fall, and using my summer job as a tool to boost me up for the upcoming year.
