Checking in with the Communications Committee

By Emily Grabowski, Communications Chair

Penn State PRSSA Communications Committee, known by many as “Comm Comm” has been very busy this semester writing away. We have been working on lots of the blog posts you see here every day and the first newsletter of the year for our chapter.

As a team, Comm Comm members write blog posts on various public relations topics ranging from LinkedIn tips to publicity in the NFL. Keep a look out for more fun posts by our committee daily.

Every Wednesday, we work hard to bond as a committee and brainstorm ideas for our newsletter. The first newsletter will come out on Nov. 5, and will include spotlights on alumni, executive board members and faculty.

Our goal as a committee is for everyone to enhance their writing skills through article workshops that include editing sessions and AP style writing lessons.

We are also working on a flier to be handed out during the College of Communications Open House on Oct. 19.

Again, stop by our meetings on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in 71 Willard. Comm Comm is a great way to get involved in PRSSA. You can network, build your resume and expand your creativity. All majors are welcome and we look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.
