Our THON committee is in overdrive hosting a few final fundraisers before THON next month that include a kickboxing class at Momentum Fitness and canvassing trips. They are also incredibly proud of and inspired by our THON child, Emily, whose nonprofit, The Emily Whitehead Foundation, was recently in the news for donating $100,000 to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) for pediatric cancer research.
Members of the event planning committee are keeping with the fitness trend with a fitness class event in early February and they are already making impressive plans for our annual Young Professional’s Guide to Success.
Our strategic planning committee members are brainstorming some never-before tried fundraisers, one being an old jacket sale to keep warm in the chilly State College winter, and working with businesses downtown to host fundraisers.
The star writers behind our blog from the communications and digital strategy committee are busy with spotlight pieces on industry news and coverage on the other committee’s happenings. They’re also taking on the challenge to create our next newsletter, and making it as impressive as our fall newsletter.
Stay tuned throughout the semester as we announce even more activities planned by our committees and our general meeting speakers who you won’t want to miss!
