What to Look Forward to Next School Year

By: Holly Rubin, President

I would like to wish everyone a happy summer and congratulate the class of 2018. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to PRSSA the past few years and good luck in your future endeavors.

To our former President, Ann Klinck, former Vice President, Meghan Reinhardt, and the 2017-2018 executive board and chairmen, congratulations on such a successful year. Through your participation in the Bateman Competition, National Conference and National Assembly, fundraising for THON, various speakers and workshops, it was a great year for our chapter.

We look forward to continuing these conferences, fundraisers, and events, while bringing new forms of chapter development to the table. I, along with our new Vice President, Mackenzie Stagnito, have begun to create new goals and objectives for the school year.

We strive to develop a greater sense of community, improve relations between the executive board and our members and enhance our mentor/mentee program. We also want to build stronger relationships within the College of Communications along with other Penn State organizations by working closely with members to make them aware of opportunities within our chapter and both PRSSA and PRSA nationals.

We are excited to work with our new executive board and chairmen to make our goals possible and can’t wait to see what we can achieve in the 2018-2019 school year.

I encourage anyone with comments or questions about our chapter of PRSSA and plans for next year to reach out to me, Holly Rubin, at holrubin13@gmail.com.

You will also find us at the Penn State Fall Involvement Fair and College of Communications Fall Involvement Fair. Our first meeting will be August 28th, but until then we hope everyone has a relaxing and safe summer!
